I have always wanted to learn Japanese since I was young, although I didn't have a right chance. When I was little, my aunt, who is Japanese, taught me simple phrases, but she moved to Canada after a month. When my friend told me she was taking Japanese class here, I right away decided to sign up for the class. Also, I traveled to Japan over the summer and was struggling because I didn't know any Japanese. My goal this semester is to learn Japanese well enough so that I can visit Japan and have conversations with people.
It was challenging at first to catch up with work, since I joined the class late. Also, I don't have a good memory, so memorizing vocabularies is tough. However, I'm excited to see that I have made a drastic improvement over a short period of time.
